Reinventing Organizations – Books

Reinventing Organizations

Reinventing

Author: Frederic Laloux

What you will learn:  Frederic Laloux provides insights in the principles of self-managing organizations and gives examples of companies where he studied those. For me “Reinventing organizations” is the most influential book in that area. Although there is a “traditional” Version of this book I highly recommend the “illustrated” one. I once put it on a desk in the middle of our office and within just a few days several people asked for lending it and brought it back just one or two days later. This has never happened with any other book I tried this 🙂

How Google Works

GoogleAuthor: Google-CEO Eric Schmidt, Founder Larry Page and Senior Vice President Jonathan Rosenberg.

What you will learn: This book was recommended to me by Sohrab Salimi and first I thought that this is just another Google-Hype-Building novel. But indeed it is a real good source of knowledge, rules, principles and (yes, mainly Google) examples on how to run modern organizations. Topics like culture, strategy, Talent acquisition, decision making, communication, and Innovation are examples of the content. As mentioned, this book was a recommendation to me and now is one from me to you… (BTW: I read the german Version “Wie Google tickt”)
